10 Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Your Favorite Foodies

Need ideas?

Nine items I have and use in my kitchen all the time and an idea for the Foodie who has everything.

Nine items I have and use in my kitchen all the time and an idea for the Foodie who has everything.

As we head into the holiday season, here are 10 options for stocking stuffers for the foodies and home cooks in your life. I have, use and love each and every one of these kitchen items.

1. Microplaner - the best quality way to zest and grate fresh food and spices.

2. Kitchen Masher Tool - perfect for crumbling meat, mashing avocados, breaking down whole tomatoes in a sauce and generally mixing or mashing anything you need. This magic kitchen wand is dishwasher safe and holds up well to high heat.

3. Garlic Peeler - help your foodie protect their knives by giving them a garlic roller peeler. Instead of smashing cloves with their high quality knives, they add garlic cloves to this silicone tube and roll on the counter using a little pressure. The dry garlic skins magically peel off and separate from the clove.

4. Silicone Spoon - A high quality, dishwasher safe silicone spoon that holds up under high temperatures and keeps your pans safe from scratches. Choose from teal, black or red.

5. Penzey’s Spice Gift Box - nothing compares to fresh spices. Penzey’s, a speciality spice shop from Wisconsin, makes spice buying fun. They have a wide selection of spice gift boxes including those for people who love to cook, baking gurus, salad lovers, grilling spices, and even a salt-free box.

6. Luxardo Cocktail Maraschino Cherries - does your foodie enjoy a good cocktail? Once they try these specialty maraschino cherries they’ll never go back. These dark maraschino cherries come in a divine dark syrup. Make sure they don’t store this in the fridge after opening.

7. Clementines - into edible presents? Need something more affordable for stocking stuffer this year? Go buy a box of clementines and fill your stockings with them. They are fresh, in season, and sweet. A perfect tasty treat that foodies of all ages love. Plus, we could all use some extra Vitamin C this year. My parents have been filling our stocking with clementines for years and it is one of my favorite gifts every Christmas.

8. Wusthof Santoku Knife - this stocking stuffer can double as the main event on Christmas Day. Fantastic quality and design, this specialty knife is a game changer when it comes to cutting fruits and vegetables. If your foodie doesn’t have one yet, the Wusthof Classic is loved by many, just check out all the five start reviews. This gorgeous knife comes in two sizes, both of which will revolutionize cutting produce.

9. Immersion Blender - an essential tool for homemade soups, sauces, and whipped cream. Even though this may not get much use in the summer (though some people like to use them to blend up smoothies and milkshakes) it is essential for making blended soups, perfectly smooth gravy, and quick sauces.

10. Donation to a Charity Fighting Hunger - does your foodie have everything? Consider making a donation in their name to a charity fighting hunger. Check out the Thanksgiving Post about 7 Organizations Fighting Hunger for ideas on how to start.
