Easy Slow Cooker Pumpkin Butter

On October 1st I went to Trader Joe’s looking for pumpkin butter. They were out. Upon asking, they told me they now stock it the day after Labor Day and it never makes it to October… “come and gone” were the words they used. September is way too early for me to get into pumpkin so I had to work on my own recipe. The good news? I figured out how to do it in the slow cooker and making it at home allows you to control how sweet it is. Give this slow cooker pumpkin butter recipe a try and add as much or little sweetener as you’d like!

Loaded Potato Soup

Simple, classic ingredients come together to make a filling soup. All you need is bacon, onions, potatoes, chicken stock and some bay leaves to whip this soup up. The creaminess is made by blending half of the soup. Sure you can add milk but only if you want! Tips for how to bail on the bacon and make this a simple or vegetarian potato soup are included.

Maple Old-Fashioned

Old-Fashioneds are a holiday favorite in our house. My favorite way to make them uses maple syrup, orange bitters, and Luxardo maraschino cherries. They are delicious and rivaled only by my husband’s secret family recipe. Perfect for fire-side sipping, holiday movie watching, and Christmas tree decorating. Cheers!
